Rebecca was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and has been serving clients in her Psychotherapy and Recovery Coaching practices for the past twenty years. She served as Core Faculty at the world-renowned ‘Institute of Transpersonal Psychology‘, where she first began to identify, describe, and define what she later named Family Scapegoating Abuse’ (FSA). She is a pioneer in researching and writing about the overlapping symptoms of family scapegoating abuse (FSA), complex trauma (C-PTSD), and betrayal trauma and the devastating impact and effects of multigenerational trauma. A recognized expert in her field, Rebecca writes regularly for various Mental Health organizations about recovering from dysfunctional family systems and scapegoating’s effects on individuals, organizations, and institutions. Rebecca has been a featured speaker at conferences addressing a wide-range of topics, including Non-Dual Wisdom and Psychotherapy, Integral Psychology, and Systemic Dysfunction in the Workplace. She is also the creator of the Family Scapegoating Abuse (FSA) Recovery Coaching™ process, which was designed to help those seeking relief from the psycho-emotional distress caused by being in the ‘family scapegoat’ role. She is currently creating equine-assisted, trauma-informed therapy and coaching programs for adult survivors of childhood abuse. When not serving clients, she enjoys spending time with her partner and animals at her home on the Oregon Coast, where she finds inspiration for compassion-based, integral living..
